Real photographs of Citrusdal and the Cederberg on this site come from Wikimedia Commons under Creative Commons licences. Each photographer and licence is credited below, as those licences require. The aerial views of the town and the pass were supplied locally. Several slots now carry local photography; the rest still use generic stock while we commission more.

Citrusdal photography by Johan de Wet

The Cederberg, the Olifants River valley at sunset and the spring fynbos on this site were photographed in the valley in August 2026 by Johan de Wet, and are used with his permission. No attribution is required for them; we name him because the work is his.

Cederberg spring flowers by Anja James

The spring flowers on the Cederberg valley floor, opening the sequence on our home page, were photographed by Anja James and supplied to us in September 2026. Used with permission; we name her because the work is hers.

Aerial photography of Citrusdal

The aerial views of the town, the Olifants River and the Piekenierskloof Pass were supplied to us in August 2026 and are the first genuinely local photography on the site. We are still confirming the photographer so we can credit them properly here. If they are yours, tell us and we will name you.

Coming: commissioned Citrusdal photography

Named businesses' own premises, the town's streets and church, the Piekenierskloof zipline, and Cederberg rock art will be replaced with commissioned or permission-cleared photography of the real places. If you're a local photographer or business and want your images featured, tell us here.
